On behalf of the Monticello faculty and staff, we appreciate your commitment and interest in our school community. We are proud of our success stories and continue to build on our progress.

Our school accommodates approximately 600 students in grades six through eight and is a place where students come to grow, learn, and mature. At the very center of our middle school is the "team." Each fall, all students are randomly assigned to a “team” within their grade level. Our core teams consist of four academic teachers (English, social studies, science and math). Assigning students to a team helps them feel part of a small "family," which builds relationships and complements our instruction.

Our focus is on high expectations for achievement. Students are expected to develop their skills, demonstrate their progress on a continual basis, and act appropriately in a nurturing and respectful environment. In addition to a full curriculum of academic subjects, there is a wide range of extra curricular activities in which students can participate.

We take pride in our school and in our community. Our grounds, consisting of a track and an all-purpose field, accommodate football, baseball, soccer, and field hockey. I invite you to visit Monticello and see our beautiful campus.
